"Bump" would have been almost as interesting.

"I am guessing your wife is Korean, as I asked it twice, and you didn't reply. Perhaps that is because you know some of us will wonder if Korea was good enough for your wife, why isn't it good enough for your kid?"

Guess what you want but methinks you guess too much.
And even if she were Korean (not saying she is or not) it would not matter.
Many parents around the world want better for their children than what they had for themselves.
We both of us fall into that category.
Not just me either.
Think of all the women who fly to the United States to have their children.
Think of all the children who are sent to study in other countries.
Think of all the men who stay in Korea while their wives and children develop new lives elsewhere.
Think of all the Koreans in their 20's and 30's who have said they would like to leave Korea because they no longer want themselves or their children exposed to the educational system, dirty environment, lax safety standards, corruption, employment problems, or institutionalized gender bias that are associated with living in Korea.
(Countries like Australia, New Zealand, and those in North and South America were all founded by immigrants who were looking for better lives for their children and grandchildren.)
You want to stay here and raise your family here, that is your choice.
Choice, that is what life is all about.
But you can't expect everyone to make the same choices or to have the same desires as yourself.

You can do whatever you want, but saying Korea is the worst place to raise a family without solid facts gives everyone the wrong idea, and that is why I keep posting.

You seem to think too highly of Canada IMO that it makes not just me, but other posters wonder WHY you are in Korea, and why you have been here during the duration of your 14mth old's life.

I didn't say I was going to stay here and raise my family. I just say some of the points you mention aren't so valid when compared to a lot of places on earth.

However you seem to have your "Eden" all picked out. Hope you catch that plane soon.

I never said that Korea is the worst place to raise a family. In fact I did say that there are certain areas of Korea I would raise my son in.

"You seem to think too highly of Canada IMO that it makes not just me, but other posters wonder WHY you are in Korea, and why you have been here during the duration of your 14mth old's life."

What makes me think that I think too highly of Canada? You have know idea of what you are typing about.

"I didn't say I was going to stay here and raise my family. I just say some of the points you mention aren't so valid when compared to a lot of places on earth."

What's wrong with raising your family here. It was good enough for your wife but not your children?
And I thought this conversation was about Korea.

"However you seem to have your "Eden" all picke o ut. Hope you catch that plane soon."

Are you always this friendly, uninformed, confused et al or is this one of your good days?
