HOWEVER, I'm more than prepared to buy one new, I just don't know where to look. Is there a district in which I can find digital music gear? I tried Yongsan and didn't really find what I was looking for.

I have one, but I don't think that I'm ready to part with it yet.

I buy all my gear from DJKorea at IPark Mall in Yongsan. They seem to have all that I am looking for. Their prices are a little more expensive than stateside, but they seem to be the only option out there.

What software do you use?

You know about Nagwon, right? Get off at Jongno-3-ga station, go out exit 5 (IIRC), look for the weird building that you can drive under and that says "낙원 악기 상가" on the side of it. Go in and up to the second floor.

Alternatively, there's gmarket if you're just looking for something basic. A quick search on your behalf didn't bring up anything from e-mu, but here's three alternatives:
