I have to move next week, because my landlord doesn't want to fill out some insurance paperwork. It's not even like I have to move to a different buildingI'm moving up 5 floors to an exact replica of my apartment, but with a different landlord.

I've agreed to stay home weeknights this week for apartment showings, because I refused to let them into my apartment while I was at school, so I've decided to have fun with it. I've started cooking ethnic foods, and shall do so every night this week.

Today I made a nice big batch of a yemenite spice called zachug.

Quesamosas (quesadilla shaped samosas) tomorrow! Curry curry curry!

Any suggestions for the rest of the week? The stronger the smell, the better. Twisted Evil

smoked kippers, pickled herrings.
It's a tough one though trying to think of odours that may offend the Korean nose, theirs' is not a cuisine that is subtle on olfactory abuse.

Koreans don't like cheese, so making Mac-n-cheese would probably do it.

hell go all out, head to the store and grab some mice, let them loose in the apartment. When the people come just say"oh yeah they've been around for a while, aren't they cute?"

Wouldn't that make it smell better to the prospective renters?

Today: curry
Tomorrow: falafel
Wednesday: burritos smothered in cheese
Thursday: bleu cheese fondu
Friday: hummus loaded with zachug (very spicy pepper paste loaded with cumin, cardomin, black pepper, clove, and others)
Saturday: Mac and cheese with STINKY cheddar.
Sunday: just going to boil a head of cabbage for aromatherapy.

If you can think of some better examples, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!!!

Steaks, red wine, healthy green salad.

Have a soju pooster on the wall witha big red line through it-or big red
FAIL written on it.

Oooh I need to print out some Japanese stuff ASAP!

My pet rats are pretty scary to the average Korean. When the RE woman came in with the translator the first day, they froze when they saw the cage. Laughing

Koreans don't boil cabbage for hours. The smell of that is very different from making Kimchi. I don't care very much for the smell, but it's worth it imo to make it hard to show.

A big sign that says Dokdo is Japanese?

I hate vegemite, but it doesn't have a wafting odor, unfortunately.

Edited to add: thank goodness it doesn't have a wafting odor (my husband loves it), but no good for your purposes.
