Just to chit chat about the WC. We don't seem to have a non-specific thread for it, so here it is.
No Banter!
In order that the thread not get deleted, do refrain from having a joke or two about other nationalities and their football pedigrees, as some poor delicate bunny may become too offended. |

The other thread had multiple TOS violations and became a "my country is better than your country because..." thread And for the record, taking little swipes at Mod actions is also a violation of the TOS.
That being said, please keep this one on topic and root for your team, not against another one. Posts violating the TOS or baiting other posters will be removed and reviewed by the Mod Team. Enjoy the tournament.

No understanding of the old 'give-and-take' routine. If my team does well, I want to give it the big one! If my team does poorly, I expect to be mocked. It must be some kind of culture difference. |

Probably. I suspect that those who didn't grow up in a nation awash with football culture just don't get that it's all par for the course. |

..any votes for lousiest and best games so far?
enjoyed the Ghana V Serbia match the most. Close game...unrelenting pace. Fair result.
Denmark looked really lacklustre against netherlands though. Poulsen thought his own goal was funny...which is both cool and abnormal at the same time. The only player on the field who appeared fired up at all was the Dutch guy Elia who basically made all the play. Poor show overall. |
