| Mine has been hovering in the 32-33 (for you celcius folks) 90-92 (for my people) for a couple of weeks now. I have A/C, but it does little to minimize the heat. My old villa in Apkujung rocked out the A/C and would freeze you out of the place (expensive as hell if you ran it too much, but comfortable as well). |

| ours is about the same. we have a LOT of windows, so we've been trying to combat it by putting tin foil on our windows. it's worked so far! we've left a 3 inch slit at the bottom of each window to let some light in. |

Our apartment is anywhere between 30 - 32 these days. It's lovely. We have one fan, and no a/c. It doesn't matter, though. The coolness of an a/c would be lost on my husband. He doesn't even like having the fan on too high, he says he gets chilly. So, if we had an a/c, we'd probably be fighting over it all the time. I'll just enjoy the heat at home, and keep my class very cool all day long! |

usually about 25degrees. It's a large 2 bed apartments with big windows and pations. I have had no need for air con at all, and that's saying something, cos I'm Irish and I blast it whenever the summer gets going.
It's been awesome in this new apartment though. much cooler than the old shoebox. |

No need for A/C at home, but work today was a very warm and sweaty day. I haven't felt a need to turn on the A/C at night; only fan. I'd be fine with fan at work too, but it's not allowed as weird as that is. Their stick intimidation tactics are a better way in their eyes to control kids angry about going to school in the heat with no fan or A/C. They are mad as hell as they outright said so many times. Why should an ugly pot bellied man with a 3 foot long 2 inch diameter stick be placed in the lunch room today to control angry kids instead of turning on fans? Idiocracy put on by incompetent leadership.
I'm not too stingy to turn on a fan should I actually need one. Nor the A/C either should it get really warm. I guess someone only thinking about soju money is going to rough it and cares little if his selfishness makes 800 people unnecessarily suffer. Turn on the air for Christ sakes if it's too warm. |

My Seoul-denizen colleagues are all sweating or running the AC at night. Here in the Jukjeon area, with the mountain air rolling down in the evenings, and very little pavement anywhere, it's about 26C during the day and 23 at night.
I'll crank the AC when the rainy season ends, though, or flee this hotpot for North America. |

| Whatever temperature it is, it's death inducing. I am moving out to a place with a giant A/C tomorrow, and it's now 1 30 am and I've barely begun to pack, i'm just too hot to physically move. I...just...can't! |

Not weird, this is exactly what happened at lunch yesterday. I was offended to say the least. It's BS they use intimidation to control angry kids instead of turning on the dam fans! I think you too would find it weird and offensive, especially after such man looked at you funny as you were sitting there eating. |

| my place is a sauna, it must be about 29-30C, even at night. how can a hole that holds in next to no heat in the winter time become hotter than the outside temperature in summer? |

It sounds like your aircon has not been services for a couple of years.
Have someone come and refill the gas in the aircon box-thing that sits outside your apartment.
once the gas has been refilled, you should notice the aircon will start cooling your apartment again.
(Without the aircon being re-gassed, it will just keep pumping out warm air into your apartment and sucking your electricity whilst not doing what it is supposed to do). |

| Ah cheers Alphabet Stew, my room is like an oven, not to mention super dusty and noisy (it's pretty much hell), and the air-con doesn't seem to make much difference. I will try and get the 'landlord' to have a look at it. |

I leave the big window open during the day to air it out and return to about 26-27 degrees. Ten minutes after I turn the air-con on and it's a nice 21-22 degrees.
It's the humidity that gets to me so air-con is a necessity. |
