Hi,
I want to order a GPS watch and off Ebay, the one I want runs around 165 to 200 Canadian. How does it work at customs here with Ebay orders? Would I have to go pick it up somewhere, or will they send it through once they looked at it. How would I pay duties if they charged me?

| Ebay sellers might undervalue it. Amazon the company wouldn't. Not so sure about marketplace sellers though. |

| I don't know what the Can conversion rate is, but you should expect to be hit for duties if the value plus shipping is noted at 150,000 or higher. As another poster said, you may be able to find someone on ebay who will note it at a lower rate, but many explicitly say they won't do this. You may get lucky and not get hit for duties, but I have only been that lucky 1 time when it was that high and noted on the package. Can you have it shipped to someone back home and have them send it as personal belongings? |

| I just got an e-reader off eBay and unfortunately the actual price I paid plus shipping was listed on the customs declaration form so I got hit with the 20%tax. Oh well, guess I'll deprive myself of a night out or two. |

Where did you have to pay the tax? Did it still get sent to you with a bill? Or did you have to go to Incheon or something to pick it up? |

Thats what im thinking I will do, but I want to explore all options. |

| The UPS guy came to the school (where I have all my daytime deliveries sent) and I paid him on the spot for the import tax. |

| Many people and companies on those sites don't ship to Korea. But, if you find similar products on G market, you can personal message that seller in Korea and ask them to import it for you. Will cost you more for shipping and duties, etc. Might be an option for you. |
