Is it still Fukuoka (flight or ferry)? What about Manilla (with Cebu Pacific), Osaka, Tokyo? Any other suggestions? I will have to do it sometime in August. |

Taipei and Fukuoka run a close tie, I've weighed the costs a couple of times.
both are fun, btw, but Taipei has better museums
*don't forget if you are in Seoul, or some distance away from Pusan, you have to add in the costs of getting there, maybe staying overnight before catching the ferry, etc. |

isn't the visa run on your employer's dime?
I say, make it as fun as possible.... expensive? on the boss's won, sky's the limit. |

Depending on your nationality and how much the visa* costs, Shanghai might be worth a look.
*I mean the tourist visa to get into China, which runs upwards of $150 for Americans. |
