I think she's supposed to buy lollies and sweets for you.
You don't really need to do much.. :)

No. She buys chocolate for Valentine's Day and you buy something for her on White Day. |

Ahhhhh, White Day!! I tend to throw them a little chocolate, take them out for some din-din and maybe a little theme-orientated activity. Don't spend a lot of dosh on the girl; she'll expect it every time it's one of these "days" here in "Different-gift-for-different-day-invented-by-chaebol"
land. |

You buy her candies. It would be like forgetting Valentine's Day at home.
Valentine's Day in Korea is all about the boys. It is White Day for the ladies. |

| I think Feb 14 the girls buy for the guys. White day is the guys' turn to buy. As a girl I have to say I'd be a little hurt if my boyfriend didn't buy me some chocolate or flowers or something. It wouldn't kill anyone to take five minutes of their day to pick up some flowers and a box of chocolates. It's not the material goods that I(we) want, it's seeing that you remembered and made an effort to do something nice for me(us). |

| I didn't even get chocolate for my sweety on the last White Day, I just threw her a old issue of "Better Homes and Gardens". |

Oh please. Remembered what? Some stupid corporate theme-day?
If I was a girl, I'd be a heck of a lot more pleased if a guy were to buy me chocos or whatever on a day when he doesn't "have" to. Buying presents on a "present day" is more an obligation than anything else. "Here you go, honey.... I was obligated to buy you this!"
The guy's truly a romantic and truly cares for you if he does something nice for no particular reason.
Valentine's Day back home is just as bad as all this "White Day" nonsense here, isn't it not? |

Yes. But in order to cover your ass, you should then always buy flowers and chocolate, both on days when you're supposed to, and days when you're not. You can't go wrong. |
