I know China visas are tough, but is Hong Kong any different? I used to work for a company that did a lot of business with China, and getting to HK was much easier for the boss. This was a long time ago, so I'm not sure what the process would be. Should I just go through a travel agent? I'd want a multiple entry for about 6 months.

What's your question?

If it's about a Hong Kong tourist visa - Americans don't need a visa for Hong Kong for stays of up to 90 days. So as long as you left/re-entered at least every 90 days, you wouldn't need to bother with a visa.

The US state department has info on all the various requirements for various nations, here's Hong Kong

Or are you asking about getting a Chinese visa, whist in Hong Kong?

Just Hong Kong. I wasn't sure if there were different policies for HK and China, and you've helped a great deal.

Thank you very much, triple B Smile

Sure, and OK then. Macau is right next to Hong Kong, and also visa-free (though only 30 days).

Nice. The fiance is getting transferred to HK, and we planned on getting married this summer, so I'd like to do it there and take a week or so of vacation and that bonus week's honeymoon in my contract. Then I figure we'd do the weekend thing. It's only a few hours by plane.

Do you know anything about getting a Chinese Visa while traveling in Hong Kong? Getting chinese visa from outside your home country has become very difficult. I live in S.Korea and I cant get a chinese visa because my SK visa runs terminates in 3 weeks. So i need a chinese visa pretty quick. Is it difficult for a USA citizen to get a chinese visa while traveling in Hong Kong?
