ȣ (ggool ho dduk) seems to be the closet thing in Korea to Pop-Tarts. "Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike Pop-Tarts" to put it in a Adamsian way. It's pretty tasty in any regard. You can see a very small picture of them here:

I initially bought them thinking they were like English muffins or crumpets. Then I discovered there was some red bean goop in them. This fixed another rule/observation in my mind. If Koreans can fill a bread product with a semi-sweet goop, they will. Have you ever tried to buy what looks like hot dog buns at one of those little bakeries which are invariably located next to the LG25 which is invariably located next to the kimbap shop which is invariably located next to the sunglass store which sells sunglasses although you never see Koreans actually wearing sunglasses which is invariably located next to the Korean BBQ place which is invariably located next to the KFC which is invariably located next to the store selling knock off Louis Vuitton products which is invariably located next to the competing little bakery shop which are all invariably located under a hagwon, a no rae bang, a pc bang, and a coffee/beer/drink hof, gasp, and found these hot dog buns are slathered on the inside with some sort of semi-sweet cream goop?

I think the closest thing you could find to Pop-Tarts in Seoul would be Pop-Tarts. Try Hanam Supermarket.

Oh cool, they have them there. How much? I keep meaning to pop around there but then I think "hmmm takes me a wee bit too close to itaewon..."

They're not cheap! Somwhere in the range of W6,000... I can't believe it, but I've actually forked out for them on several occasions.

Hannam Market is very punishing on my wallet. Sad

They also have them at "The Red Door" black-market store in Itaewon.

Hate that name, because it's anything but a red door.
