This is the exact score I made a bet with, that Brazil would score against them. Damn it.

Awesome. Heads will literally roll soon enough. N Korea actually played great in the first half... but the 2nd was an absolute massacre. |

As Kim Jong Il would say in Team America: "You're breaking my balls here, you're breaking my balls!" |

After the 4th or 5th goal they should have laid off. 7-0 is unsportsmanlike. |

Yeah, North Korea have always been very sportsmanlike, they should be treated fairly. |

I saw the game. At least they still played their game with passion. Hats off to everyone on the team. |

Right, because a nation's football team is directly involved with its government's policy making.
I understand not supporting the North Korean government, but I don't see why you feel compelled to rag on its soccer team. It is pretty amazing it made it the World Cup to begin with. |

What those footballers believe, what they support, their motive, their managers train of thought. I'm not saying the football team is innocent, but if they were to be victorious, it's just feeding the attention vulture more of what he wants; attention.
Of course now I'm just being devil's advocate, I was just being... 'Dave' like before, nothing to take seriously. |

Is there no shame in soccer? After the score was 5-0, the Norks should have tried to intentionally break Ronaldo's leg. |

Yeah, It seemed like they were running up the score against an outclassed opponent.
But to be fair, I think it gives Portugal a massive goal advantage if it ends up tied with Ivory Coast on points after the last match Friday, so maybe it was justified. |

A shame that 20, of the 23 NK players, will probably see very little of the millions of dollars FIFA gives teams in the World Cup for the players. Most likely they'll see a few hundred bucks while the rest goes to KJI bank account. |

Let's not forget that Portugal were on song last night. That was basically a professional vs amateur match. NK's inexperience showed, and Portugal did a professional job out there. |

One cultural difference that I will probably never understand is how the South still supports the North. I was told to stop cheering for Portugal while in a bar. Has the South forgotten that 46 Koreans were killed by the North a couple months ago? Have they forgotten that KJI has threatened war again and again?
Maybe it is just difficult for me to separate the people from the government.
Of course during the USA/Slovenia game I heard cheers when Slovenia scored. It's good not to support your biggest ally. |
