1) Does anyone use the Wii USB WiFi connector to connect to the internet?
2) I tried setting mine up last night to no avail. Well, I ended up shorting out my modem (pop and smoke smell). Have to call the cable company to bring a new modem. Can I just buy my own modem since the ones they seem to give are old? Could I just plug in a new modem box?
Cheers
Well I found out the Wii USB connector doesn't work with Windows 7 but I did at least receive a new power cord for my modem.
So, how do you connect your Wii to the internet?
I don't want to run a cable across my apartment. Would any WiFi router work? Would I need an adapter? |

I use wifi for mine. Pretty painless. Just set up your wifi router and connect. |

If Dave's had a thank you button, you would receive one. I guess a simple, "Thank You" will have to be enough.
What router do you use and do you use Windows 7?
I researched different routers and some have trouble with the Wii. I went to a store yesterday but there was no return policy so I didn't buy one as he wasn't sure if it worked with a Wii. |

I use windows 7 with a Buffalo router. A wifi router goes in between your cable modem and PC and isn't depended on your OS for functionality |
