Hi my parents are coming to Korea at the end of September and I was wondering what I could do outside of Seoul with them for about 7 days. So if people could give me ideas of places to go and see that are interesting and beautiful that would be great. |

You mean 7 days outside Seoul, not 7 days total, right?
If so, I'd recommend:
Suwon City Wall (like a less famous wall of China - and very close to Seoul).
Take the KTX to Busan. the KTX is 186mph - novelty worthy? And Busan is the second largest city, with a fairly good beach (if you're American - I'd put it on par - if different from - San Diego's beaches).
That may be 7 days outside of Seoul right there, depending on your pace.
If not, I'd recommend Gwangju as well, which is often considered the historical capital of S. Korea.
For first time visitors...I think that seems the most logical of the 'must see' destinations, which are a bit hard to come by in S. Korea (in terms of very nice country, but well outside the upper ~15 percentile that composes most travel plans honestly) |

Don't confuse Gwangju and Gyeongju or you will have a very boring vacation.
In Gyeongju, spend a few days doing the golgusa templestay or staying at the jeonju hanok village. They're good things for parents. |

"Suwon City Wall" is actually called Suwon Hwaseong. It's more of an unfinished fortress, and definitely worth the visit. |

Yeah, it's gyeongju and not gwangju. Just reiterating that they aren't the same, and gwangju is pretty crappy. |
