You must be pretty sensitive to it. I can't even tell.

I haven't seen it in Daegu, but the weatherunderground website said, in its forecasts for korea yesterday, "dust." I assumed that yellow dust is what they meant. It didn't get this far.

I've been in Korea for many Springs, but I always miss the infamous 'yellow dust' that seems to effect everyone.

I think I'm just oblivious to stuff like that.. I didn't see or notice it today either.

To all those who are blithely unaffected by the dust let me just say: Shut Up!

I was fine last year only cause of the heavy rains. In Mokpo...MOKPO as in 5 hours away from Seoul, my first year here, my eyes were gunked up, I couldn't open them in the morning. What ever I coughed up was a bright bright green. I felt drugged all the time because I couldn't sleep or breathe. I couldn't talk at all.
This year, I think I caught it again, but it's not so bad not yet. Stupid yellow dust. Nappeun! Nappeun!

yeah, i don't have any allergies, and am rarely sick, so i'm surprised. my co-worker doesn't feel it much. it just gives me a headache and a bit bunged up.

this year is easy so far. it's been worse in the past. I remember coughing it up a few years ago.

I'm in Incheon too. Yesterday was the worst I've ever seen it, in almost 2 years. a great cloud hanging over the town- you could barely see 200 yards.

It stems from increasing aridification in China. China is a dry country...in fact they've got serious problems right now finding enough water to sustain their great heralded economic boom.

This yellow dust sounds intense! Where can I score some?

As I can't cough on you, I'll advise you to stick your head out of the window and take a deep breath in.

I noticed the haze down here in Bucheon, but didn't really feel it. I took this week off running, though. Next week: bleccch. Would wearing one of those masks help?

Glad to see others in Incheon are messed up too. I was sick all yesterday, although I haven't noticed it at all the last 2 years. Girlfriend (who doesn't notice the stuff!) is sound asleep now, while I type away at 4 am, unable to sleep...

I'm in Northern China, and I have been sick off and on.

Now I know why.

I find my throat a little scratchy, and the air tastes like dirt.
