Psy - "Champion": sampling
Lee Hyori - "Bring it back": plagiarism (the composer is to be sued by Hyori)
Lumping them together can be misleading. What I don't get is how there is lack of an effective mandatory plagiarism-screening system for every new song released for commercial profits. It's not even as if Korean netizens would miss relatively obvious plagiarisms.
Here's mine.
G-dragon - "This Love" (English version)
Maroon 5 - "This Love"

There is a very long list of Chinese songs copied from K-pop songs. |

Ivy's Sonata of Temptation is an interesting one.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiM29NZtOeU
It's a pretty catchy pop song with sampling, but the real plagiarism comes from the music video, which is pretty much an homage to the Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children movie - nearly shot for shot.
They got into hot water when Square-Enix (the company that makes FFVII) wasn't consulted about this at all and Ivy's producert said he couldn't find the contact info for Square-Enix... y'know one of the largest game producers in the world. |
