I would like to see a thread in which K-pop samples are matched to their source material.

This is inspired by the recent thread here:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=185820&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

I don't want to see any whining or complaining of 'creativity' or nasty comments or yada-yada-yada. Save it for the other thread. I just think it would be fun to see the two songs side by side, that is all.

To get you started: (first case is more of a sample than a complete lifting)

Psy-"Champion" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTT9MT0rMhU

Harold Faltermeyer-"Axel F" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jehCpeVB50g

And another one (From the article in the other thread)

Lee Hyori--"Bring it Back" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59sOlHVRQkk

Cookie Couture--"Boy Bring it Back" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUbHpKSWGpo

Now I know there is a lot more out there. Let's try and have fun with this one... but keep the nastiness away. Time and place.

Psy - "Champion": sampling
Lee Hyori - "Bring it back": plagiarism (the composer is to be sued by Hyori)

Lumping them together can be misleading. What I don't get is how there is lack of an effective mandatory plagiarism-screening system for every new song released for commercial profits. It's not even as if Korean netizens would miss relatively obvious plagiarisms.

Here's mine.

G-dragon - "This Love" (English version)
Maroon 5 - "This Love"

There is a very long list of Chinese songs copied from K-pop songs.

Ivy's Sonata of Temptation is an interesting one.

It's a pretty catchy pop song with sampling, but the real plagiarism comes from the music video, which is pretty much an homage to the Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children movie - nearly shot for shot.
They got into hot water when Square-Enix (the company that makes FFVII) wasn't consulted about this at all and Ivy's producert said he couldn't find the contact info for Square-Enix... y'know one of the largest game producers in the world.
