I stopped by there today and picked up a tote bag and mug. The tote bags are very nice and they cost 8,000 won, while the mugs cost 7,000 won. This coffee and tea shop is small and easy to miss. You can get there by walking out exit 5 of Hapjeong Station and then you make the first right and then the second left. It's on the left about half a block down the street. It's open from noon to 11 pm.

Looks cool. I'm a big cat lover. I'd love to check this out when I'm in the area.

There is a coffee shop place in Apgujeong that has real cats. I can't bring up a link right now, but seen it before.

I did not see any live cats, only the cats drawn on the tote bags and mugs. In case anyone doesn't know where Hapjeong is, it's Hapjeong subway Station on lines 2 and 6.

And while you're in the neighborhood, check out the other coffee shops and cafes in the area. Why shoot for just one small one? Between HapJeong and Ewha, there must be at least 50 small coffee shops tucked into every alley going. If you go out exit 1 at HongDae and head back into the alleys, you'll come across at least ten, and they are cooler than the one described by the OP.

Seriously? This sounds like a shameless promotion for a small business venture. Weak.

PRMagic, it sounds like you need to relax, fella. Us adults can share our information about nice coffee shops and restaurants.
Wow, I don't know what to say. I didn't expect a flame over a small coffee shop that sells bags and mugs with kitties on them. I'm hoping that you read the link to the seouleats.com story about the shop that was the reason I stopped there in the first place.

But if you, PRmagic, or anyone else does know at "at least ten" coffe shops, and "they are cooler than the one described by the OP" please share your information with the rest of us. Directions, names, photos, please.

PRMagic, have you been to "Strawberry on the Short Cake by Hong
Sung Sa"? It's a nice place and they speak English. LMK if you need directions.

Here is the review of SimonAndMartina's trip to the Gio Cat Cafe:

A place like this would never be allowed to stay in business in the U.S. b/c the health inspector would shut them down......

I don't frequent cafes or coffee shops, nor would I look forward to sharing information about any one in particular. Once in a blue moon, I'll stop by one in the HJ-HD area after wrapping up a walk with the better half. Not bad, and prices have come down a LOT at the small shops. I'd still rather have a cup at home with a good Cuban.

You claimed to know better coffee shops and you can't name one. That's disappointing. Some of us would have loved to try a new place.
