Hey guys,

I'm going to be arriving in September for a teaching job in Dongtan. I've always been really interested in taking small aircraft flight lessons but have never had the chance or money to do so being a broke student up until now (well at least the student part). It was going to be my consolation if I decided to accept a "boring" job in America but I got the idea I might be able to pursue this in Korea after seeing the helicopter lessons thread.

Would the red tape be insurmountable? Is it even possible for a foreigner on an E2 Visa? Any idea about prices?

Since I'll be 40 min. south of Seoul any airport or flight school in the area would work for me since this would be a weekend thing. Any advice or resources you could point me to would be greatly appreciated!

Ultra-lite flying is possible.

Private pilot is not.

Commercial is possible but prohibitively expensive and you need to change your visa class.
