****SOLD****
For sale is a Cort, Earth-70E Acoustic Electric Guitar. I've had it for a couple of years but haven't played it much and it has just been sitting in the corner collecting dust. It is in pristine condition (no scratches, dings, cracks, or flaws) and sounds great.
Also included are:
-a tuner
-extra set of strings.
-carrying bag
-couple of picks
I paid around 280,000 for it new but will part with it for 200,000 or best offer.

Wow zappadelta, talk about lowballing. Some people on this site amaze me at how cheap they want things...I'm all for bargaining...however, the item being sold highly depends on how much I'm willing to sacrifice in price and a like new, solid top guitar doesn't depreciate in value man...guitars pretty much retain value unless they are shite-cans |

60K does sound pretty low for the guitar in question. If I were the OP, I sure wouldn't go for it.
If I were looking for a new guitar, though (come to think of it, I am. Always, in fact!) I would fork over the extra 12K won to get it new. My experience of the market, and I own a number of guitars, have had many more, is that guitars DO depreciate. Not from year to year (a 5 year old second hand guitar isn't worth much different than a 1 year old of the same thing.)
But when they go from new to used, yeah, there's generally a considerable drop. When you buy new, there's a guarantee. THEre's usually a shop that will handle set-ups, unseen damage...
when you buy used, you're taking a risk that isn't there buying new. So to get folks to buy used, a used guitar has to be either unavailable new (like a classic, one of mine is like this) or a good chunk of change cheaper than new.
Paying nearly new price for used, however pristine, is just sort of silly.
Best,
Justin |
