|
|
Home?
The other day, I sent one through fedex and got raped to the tune of 90,000. However, it did arrive rather fast.
I'm looking for something that takes a week, or a bit more and maybe 50,000 or a little more.
Thanks. |

Go to any post office and send it EMS (Express Mail Service). Just say EMS at the counter and they will give you a slip to be filled for customs. I have sent several packages via EMS and never had any problems. Usually my packages are less than a kg and are between 25k to 35k. They get delivered through USPS priority in the States (not sure about other countries) and take about 5 days if bound to the East Coast. West coast could be faster, but not positive. |

+1
Never had a problem using EMS sending stuff home and it was a whole lot cheaper than FedEx. |

If you go to the post office, they will give you a large pamphlet that explains how much it costs to send packages to most countries.
It is relatively cheap. The largest package you can send by EMS is 35kg. To North America, it would cost about 200k Won. |

I wouldn't even bother with EMS- just go for air mail. In my experience EMS costs at least twice as much and arrives about a day faster. Unless there's a very important deadline to meet, it 's hardly worth the extra fees. |

What about receiving packages? The U.S. post office asks if you have any perishables or liquids, etc. How do you send, say shampoo, from the states and get past that? Am I missing something? |

Yeah but it probably cost you half or less than half of EMS. |

1kg overseas via regular airmail, non EMS is only around 9000w. takes 5-6 business days to hit anywhere in north america.
500g or less is only 5500w.
If its something really important use EMS, if its anything else its a waste of money. |
