Hi everyone,
I'm leaving for Korea in a few weeks, and it's occured to me that I don't know what to pack for workout clothes. I jog outdoors most mornings, and usually just wear a tanktop and athletic shorts, but I've heard that neither strapless shirts nor non-knee-length shorts are really acceptable in Korea.
Any tips on what to wear so that I don't die of heat exhaustion or get mistaken for a hooker?

As long as your tops, bottoms, shoes, socks and sweatband all match, you shouldn't have a problem.

Visors and/or hiking sticks are optional, but highly recommended.

I exercise in a tank top and above-the-knee shorts everyday in summer in Seoul. Sure, I get a few stares, but I've never been propositioned! Unless you look Korean, you'll tend to get a "foreigner pass" for these kinds of things. Yeah, most Koreans don't do it, but they don't seem to care if we do. The stares are more curious than disapproving. If you're in a country area, it may be a different story, but I've never lived out of Seoul so I can't comment on that.

I would advice you to wear a shirt that covers your shoulders or at least a thick strap if you want to look socially acceptable. Sure you can get away with it as a foreigner, but do you really want to... It's not really that uncomfortable to cover your shoulders anyway.

This is simply not true. Shorts and skirts here are way shorter than in Europe. I think Koreans will be uncomfortable with big people showing too much skin, but if that's not a problem then you can wear them as short as you like.

Yoga pants or shorts with a t shirt or tank would be fine. Make sure to pack plenty of sports bras! The ones here that I've found are terrible!
