I have been avoiding doing this but it now seems I have no other choice.

I have 2 cats that need good homes. I cared for both of them for over a year and I wanted to keep them after I went abroad but I simply cannot take care of them with how my life is going right now. They do not need to go to the same home and since they have been split up for the last several months, it would be preferable if they went to seperate homes.

Della - Almost 3 years old

Della is very cute and loves to cuddle. She loves laying on people and preventing them from typing on the computer. She will stare out any windows for hours. She likes to escape and go for walks, which I discourage but sometimes she finds her way out. She doesn't mind baths/showers but doesn't like them either. If you ignore her too much, you might be bitten on the nose. It takes her a couple of weeks to adjust so please be patient ^^

Artie - A little over 2 years

Artie is my sweetheart. He was abandoned the day he was born and given to me when he was only a week old. I love him a lot but I don't think it is fair for him to change homes so often. He has a little kink at the tip of his tail but he doesn't mind at all. He likes to cuddle next to you while you are sleeping or just lay nearby your bed like a little guard. He plays as well as any cat but is pretty relaxed. He likes to lick the shower floor and your legs when you finish a shower. Sometimes he even waits patiently for the water to turn off so he can lick your legs. He is afraid of new people and will hide but not hurt anybody. He has the highest pitched meow I have ever heard but almost never makes noise unless he is uncomfortable. It takes him a while before he warms up to new people so you have to be very patient with him. But he is probably the best cat I have ever had. One warning: he likes to chew/eat plastic bags!!

It breaks my heart to do this but with the health of my family and the unwillingness of my fiancee to help me with them, I think it is best for them to get new homes. They have been with cat sitters too long and it doesn't look like I will be able to take them back anytime soon. These are really GREAT cats.

You can make a profile on http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/ They require a small adoption fee but it puts your cat's out there to people who are looking.

I'm tempted, but I have long vacations and I travel during them. That's the only thing holding me back from getting a cat, cause it would not really be very fair for the cat.

People with cats here: is there some kind of catsitting service or something in Seoul, or do you just not go on long vacations or what?

Bumping. Cause your kitties are gorgeous, and I wish I could have one. (Can't. Long story. But I've just copied your photos to pass around to friends and colleagues.)

Ditch the fiance, by the way. Totally NOT cool.

BEst of luck,
Justin

Usually other cat owners will catsit for you. There are a lot of volunteers in Seoul.

You can leave a cat to itself for a day or two and let someone come over hang out for a while. Jsut make sure there is enough water and someone to scoop the litter box. Our cat has never been outside in her life she is 5 yrs old. We have a friend come over turn on the AC, scoop the litter box, and play with her every few days when we leave.
