I would have thought anywhere in Gangnam would be great as they would attract the office workers getting off work.

I think a better location would be Hongdae.

Not sure I agree with Hongdae. Hooters in Korea is probably considered too pricey for a university area, even Hongdae.

The Hooters here are much closer to family type restaurants (e.g. TGIF, Outback) than I like them to be. And clearly the Koreans don't give a hoot when it come to chestiness, so perhaps the business plan is simply wrong.

According to wiki Hooters is on sale for 250 million.
To me that seems a little low.

Anyways, I figure the American Hooters concept won't do well in all markets. It's cultural, and in Korea, the men oogle at well-endowed women at night in noisey singing rooms. Also, most Korean corporate suit and tie guys won't think about going to Hooters to enjoy a beer after work and shell out 20,000-won a meal per person. They'd rather be at that chicken galbi place with 3000-won soju and spend 30,000-won for him and 4 of his colleagues.

Somewhat surprised there's no Itaewon location. It would do well among the GI market.
