| It is a post-apocalyptic movie (British, I think) with some people who are living in a heavily protected inner city compound. Lots of drug usage, violence, brutality, etc. As I recall, it begins and ends with the people coming out of the ocean (some of them anyway). One of the actors is named Ving Rheems or something like that. Anybody have a clue? |

I don't know the title of that one, but it sounds excellent.
You might want to check out Zardoz, starring Sean Connery. It is totally British, and it is one of the weirdest and goofiest sci fi movies you can ever hope to see. An oldie but a goodie. |

Sounds like Day of the Dead, which is a sequel to Dawn of the Dead, both of which are remakes of the vastly superior originals.

I never saw the new Day of the Dead but I loved the 80's version. It also had an awesome semi-intelligent zombie named Bub who has probably the most character development on the whole movie.
Anyways, Ving Rhames was in both the remakes. |

Agreed. However, both the remakes and originals are far inferior to Shaun of the Dead. |

| Thanks, but none of these are correct. It was made before 2006 - I am sure of that much........................ The people had to live inside some heavily barricaded part of the city, as there were roving bands of thugs/gangsters out and about reeking havoc. |

I take it you fans of the post apocalypse have played Fallout 2?
Very dated now, but still totally worth it.
Huge, dangerous world with scarce resources, tons of interesting characters and funny dialogue. Plenty of sex and drugs, too. |

might need some information...
you sure it was made in 2000 ?
can you remember the plot of the story? what is the protagonist doing in the movie? what is he looking for?
how about the Antagonists?
are they ruled by a leader? what are they doing?
you said it starts with people coming out of the ocean??? and ending with them going into the ocean? WHY?? they mutants or something?
I have a few possible movies, but really need a little more info..
