Has anyone successfully purchased a Steam game using Korean credit card and billing address? It keeps saying:
"Your billing address doesnt look like it matches up with your current country. Please contact support for assistance or use a payment method registered to your current address."
I've tried several different romanizations of the Korean address, i've tried typing it straight in as Korean, nothing works. |

If you can't buy the game from steam. Perhaps you can pay someone to purchase the game and send the activation to you as a gift through email. |

Not sure if it helps, but if you are American, you can send their customer support an email about "unlocking" your account. Then, you go to the American version of their website (the url ends in something like "cc=us" which means that the credit card is from the US), and then you can buy games just as you would as if you were in the USA. |

i can confirm that. i just unblocked my account yesterday. it was simple i just emailed the support. by logging on to my account and clicking the support tab. and they unblocked my account the next day. then you open an internet explorer (not using steam) go to the account and then i was able to purchase games. |

Yup, oncwe you change your country you'll have no problems...
Actually, maybe 1 problem, i want to get Transformers:War for Cybertron but I'm not sure it's available on Steam - I had it on my wishlist, but now it says that the game isn't available in this country... weird. |

You CAN buy games.
When you're at checkout, use your American card and your American address. But in the Billing Address change your country from "USA" to "KR".
Works like a charm, no problem. I do it every week. |

Sending an e-mail to their support staff about my move also fixed all the issues I was having. Just explain to them you're temporarily in Korea and they'll flag your account for future purchases. |
