What are the pros & cons of working in Korea through the govt run EPIK Program vs. dealing through a private recruiting company?
Thank you

Do you mean

a) applying for an epik job directly through the epik website and cutting out the recruiter as opposed to applying for an epik job through a third party recruiter.

or

b) applying for a public school job with epik as opposed to applying for a private school (hakwon) job with a recruiter.

If the answer is a) then I, too, am interested in any information.

A&B. Smile I heard with EPIK they decide the location, and the higher salaries are out in the boonedocks of tim-buck-two, while in a city they have lower salaries. To me this didn't make sense as a city has a higher cost of living, they said it's to incurage people to work out in the middle-of-nowhere. How does this compare to a public school/hawkon recuriter organized experience?

it is not that expensive to live here. Unless you are in Seoul. Criminal what they charge for some things there compared to everywhere else.
