|
|
Hi everyone
I need to buy some arnica cream or gel (used for bruising) and haven't seen it in our local pharmacies. Does anyone know where I can get this?
Also, I'm on the lookout for a multi-vitamin. Is there anywhere to get this besides Costco? |

Go buy a bg red juicy steak, stick that on your bruise, and afterwards eat it = multi vitamins, job done! |

actually there is a wonderful arnica gel ointment you can buy - but not all pharmacies carry it.
the one I like the most (tried a couple) is ILDONG. it comes in a white tube with a little blue band with a kind of orange and red rainbow on one side, around the neck, 50g. maybe around 5,000 won, give or take 500 won.
sorry I don't read Korean or I'd tell you more. if this doesn't help, pm me and I can tell you where in Seoul you can find it. |

Sounds like ya might be better off with a witch doctor or something...
Or maybe 한의학, they can drop some burning coins on you, or something... that kinda goes against logic for bruising, but what here doesn't? |

right - why use something that has been proven to have anti-inflammatory responses?
but wikipedia said "...!!!!"
for the record, the first time I heard about arnica was from my physical therapist who was using it in an ointment that she'd massage into my joints before we'd work them in my therapy. the ointment was used by all the p.t.'s in that clinic.
I did a little research and looked into it. sure enough, it's been used for many years and is available in mostly health food stores.
I rarely found an ointment with a very high percentage in it - perhaps because at extremely high doses, it is toxic, but then a lot of things are.
what I also found was that it helps joint problems (from injuries) and also muscle soreness, such as from carpal tunnel or repetitive stress. for more serious strains, I still use Ben Gay but arnica is excellent as well.
no doubt there is competition between arnica-based products and those w/o which probably accounts for the wiki article. but then, you knew that, right? |

Ben gay works much better when I bruise or have muscle ache from the gym or sports. I've found some decent tiger-balm-like stuff at my local pharmacy. You may be able to find something that works even better for you! |

Thank you all very much. Seriously...
I appreciate the quick responses. I need this stuff asap so I'm sure I'll figure out a way to get my hands on it now within the next day or two.
muchas gracias! |
