Anyone know of a good website for kpop songs with English subtitles? I'm fairly certain I hate kpop, but it may be helpful to tie in some songs for my classes.
Also, anyone know if there's a good place to rent/view Korean movies with English subtitles? |

Check out the "Buffalaxed" videos on youtube. They're not translations, just what it sounds like they're saying in English.

If you're teaching adults it's great...kids, not so much. Some of the content is pretty raunchy. |

Yellow Cinema and mysoju.com or whatever have a bunch of English subbed movies.
Check out koreanfilm.org and then look for torrents of the movies that sound interesting.
K-Pop can be fine or terrible, its up to you. K-film is pretty good stuff tho. |

I found one K-Pop song by Bada called "You Were Born to be Loved"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD5QNkCM8PU
It gives the Hangul lyrics as well as the English subtitles in sync with the song. |

my soju.com has" You are my Sunshine" An interesting story about a coffee delivery girl/prostitute who has a relationship with a lonely farmer.
It has a tragic twist.

Has a link to Karafuns a great site for Kareoke. Has Korean pop songs like "I'm so Hot" Wondergirls the song is in Korean but the subtitles appear in English. Great teaching materials the students and Korean co-teachers love it.
Just go to resources and check Kareoke an awesome resource. |

Check out the Youtube user KPOPSUBS
Videos are subbed in Hangeul, a romanization, and an English translation. Perfect for studying.
If you want Korean lyrics, go to gasazip. They don't have translations, but keep this site in mind for when you get better at Korean.
I have yet to find a good answer for movies and dramas. All of the dramas on dramafever.com or crunchyroll.com only have English subtitles. I would like to see Korean subtitles in hangeul so that I can read along if I miss anything. My solution so far has just been to buy used Korean DVDs. |

I checked out KPOPSUBS youtube channel and it was suspended. He has an alternate channel under KPOPSUBS1, which is he trying to rebuild:

KPop is a great way to learn Hangul. You start with romanizing everything, especially you .mp3 file names. That gives you some really good practice. Then sing along. Pretty soon the romanizations become too clunky and Hangul is smoother. Also you learn random phrases and words that you can throw out in conversation.
You'll progress twice as fast if you go to K-Church with K-Service.
