Unfortunately, it looks like we are left out for the time being. My iphone has iBoot 359.3.2 (I'm guessing all Korean iPhones do?) which doesn't work with the newest PwnageTool. Hopefully they figure something out soon. |

Yep, all Korean phones are the new bootrom so we are out of luck for now. Either PwnageTool or Spirit need to be updated. At least it can be unlocked on 3.1.3 now! |

don't worry, a new flaw has been found in 4.0, which should work for the korean Iphone 3gs. But it hasn't been turned into a publically released jailbreak yet. Probably you'll see something in the next week. It's a userland jailbreak like the "spirit" jailbreak was. Also, Apple is supposed to be releasing an update to the 4.0 software, either 4.0.1 or 4.1. within the next week. If your phone is already at 4.0 it is probably a good idea to keep it at that version. |

I actually had a jailbroken 3.1.2 3G. I was too eager to look out for the iOS4. It was my bad. i shouldn't have updated. tsk3. I only take advantage of the iBooks for now. nothing else. I miss my jailbroken phone. |

bianca_dee: I am pretty sure as long as you have your SHSH's stored on Saurik's server or saved them yourself you can downgrade your phone back to 3.1.x and then rejailbreak. |

Well, i did a jailbreak for the iOS 4 using redsn0w. It made my phone really slow although multitasking and wallpapers were already present. I will just restore. |

Strange because there isn't a working jailbreak for iOS 4 on the 3gs with new boot rom yet. ( The ones in korea all have the new boot rom. ) |

There is a jailbreak -but seems very difficult and only works if you already have yours jailbroken in a certain way... Nothing simple yet - but im still checking! |

Actually no theres not. That's for 3gs phones that do NOT have the new boot rom. YOu can check the iPhone Dev Teams site from time to time to see what the current status is, or subscribe to their members on twitter. They are the ones who have been coming up with the jailbreaks.
So far they are working on cleaning up the unlock for the iphone 4, and since apple has released 4.0.1 of the firmware, the dev team will probably release a jailbreak soon. |

I'm always curious, what the advantage is to jailbreaking my iPhone? I already updated mine to the iOS4, so I guess I can't, but what would the advantages be? |

The main reason is so that you can run an unlock, letting you use your phone in other countries if you leave Korea. It also lets you mute the camera, install unauthorized apps (like Blacklist apps), etc. |

Mine is still just an iPhone 3G. Time to replace it when the iPhone 4 comes. |
