hi there
i'm organising english camp for the holidays and we are having a cooking class. does anyone know if you can buy condensed milk and plain biscuits (like wine biscuits, that can be crushed) in south korea?

Can't help you with the biscuits, but I have seen the milk from time to time at the big marts. It's usually in the baking section. |

The milk comes in a squeeze tube most of the time. It's by the baking stuff in Homeplus. |

sweetened condensed milk?
That should be in just about every supermarket now. It's used in making patbingsu (the shaved ice dessert, if you didn't know). There may very well be a display set up (perhaps where seasonal things go up). Look there. There should be other stuff like red beans in a can, ice shavers, packaged rice cakes etc.
It's called "연유" (yeon-yu). It will be either in a squeeze tube or a squeeze bottle. |

hey...
they dont have wine biscuits here but there are others you can use as a substitute
I have used butter coconut before and that is the blandest biscuit I can find that comes remotely close
I use these biscuits to make cheesecakes....but digestives are the best option in Korea.....
