This morning my coteacher sprung my first "last minute- Where is my XXX". I never thought it would happen to me.. but after being on this board for a couple months why am I surprised?

It just happens to be that he wants the curriculum for the English camp we're doing.. in a couple hours!!

Also, I'm doing it myself (YAY

I thought I could just come up w/ a couple activities, but NO!!

Anybody have any ideas/ formats/ advice?!??

How many days will you have?, what levels?. I always do themed days and the majority of students enjoy it. I usually pick themes like shopping or the world, things where you can create a lot of good activities for.

Tell him to go to hell. He's known about it since the start of the semester. Tell him he can have it next Friday. It doesn't make any difference whether he gets it today or next week. He's just playing mind games, so don't bust a gut over it.

I agree with Senior. Koreans tend to pop impossible tasks on their inferiors and expect them to get it done. Kindly and politely say that it's impossible and you will get it done ASAP. Explain that in order to have a good camp, you need that extra time planning it. Don't get it done "in a few hours" because they said it has to. It never HAS TO get done that fast.

You also have to remember that since he is supposed to coteach with you he may want to have an idea about what he needs to do. Many koreans like to know well in advance on what they may need to do in classes that are outside of teaching grammar (i.e. conversational/hands on learning). They also have other classes to teach so getting them to help you plan lessons is very difficult.

That could be it but my money is on the co-teacher has to submit something to someone higher up at the end of the day and should have told you a long time before now.

Something like the topics for each lesson should be sufficient.
