Agreed completely. So many think I'm trying to be unique or higher than thou, but I'm really just advocating a healthier lifestyle. Sure, we all die, but why die of something that we know we can at least reduce the chances of getting through lifestyle change? You FEEL better in the long run.

Wouldn't my idea be better, though? Wink

I mean, I'm all for healthy food, but I think we'd all prefer to sit around eating pizza pies, french fries, steaks, etc. and drinking milk shakes all day if it were converted into healthy food INSIDE OUR BODIES!

I make my own pizza. It's pretty healthy. I make baked sweet potato "fries." I don't eat steak, but you could make it healthy enough if it were a once-in-a-while treat. I have a whey powder mix by David Kirsch that tastes great with frozen blueberries.

It would be lovely if I could change a cheese and pickle sandwich into some sprouts, after eating it, though Smile

This is so wrong it's stupid. Spreading pseudo-scientific lies isn't going to make your case stronger. There's plenty of legitimate reasons to be a vegetarian. Humans not being "fit for a meat eating diet," is not one of them.

Agreed.

We've evolved to be able to eat meat. I don't argue that. We can live without it, but that doesn't mean we aren't fit to eat it. It does take dedication if we are to ingest all of the nutrients that are readily found in animal protein, though. It can be done, but it's rough in Korea.

LOL... I STILL think you are missing my point. Would you still bother preparing healthy versions of foods we all love IF there was some kind of pill that enabled our bodies to convert them into healthy food?

I'm not saying, "Wouldn't you rather just eat junk than just berries and leafy greens?" I'm saying, "Wouldn't it be awesome if something converted all foods into healthy food?"

It's pointless, but hey, a man can dream, right?

If you'd STILL waste time making healthy options... I'm at a loss for words.

Sorry to interject, man. This bugs me so much- healthy options. It's food, not options.

I'm completely pro- people living the healthy life, but the people who do live the healthy lfe can be such pretentious wankers it makes me want to run to my nearest burger joint in disgust.

If I went through life worrying about every TINY thing that "bugs" people, I wouldn't get anywhere. And this "healthy options" thing is TIIIIINNNNYYYYY. But because I don't give a crap, I'll just say, "Sorry, I should have said healthy food." Not sure why 'options' sets you off (or how its use could be considered pretentious--I really didn't put too much thought into it), but whatever--I'm just glad I'm not required to read a list of your pet peeves, 'cause I'm not sure I have enough time left in the world Razz

Rolling Eyes

Verily, as if you even know how many or how few things bug me.

I already hinted at the notion it is not the word itself but the mentality it suggests to my mind, that annoys me. To my observation, people who talk in these types of phrase are, to encapsulate it in one word, wankers.

I mean, options isn't even an abbreviation.

Edit- I wasn't actually criticising you personally, I thought you were paraphrasing.

I'm just joking around--guess I should have done more than include the "Razz" emoticon. It just seemed like a really small thing to be annoyed about, that's all.

To be honest, I'm still not sure what it is that bothers you about these wankers (???). Care to elaborate?

Over-exposure to them, man, over-exposure. It's like a raw nerve with me.

You're right when you say it's a small thing, but my immunity is weak these days.

I heard from a high-up adjossi that GEPIK likes to hire fat people for a few reasons:

(1) They get more teacher for their money. More is best.
(2) It gives their co-teacher something interesting to talk to the teacher about. By making small talk about how fat the teacher is, they can get to know each other and bond into a teaching dynamic duo.
(3) The teacher will have something to aspire to whilst teaching here (to look like their coworkers). It's good to give employees 'stretch' goals.

I know you're just joking but that's cultural insularity. In most countries in the world, including this one, they would certainly not prefer to eat those food all day and every day.

We think our preference for those unhealthy foods is human nature but it's not. Children's palates are set early on and our culture is setting them in the wrong way.

Also, we're spending too much time at work to prepare good food.

I like cooking and developed a taste for slow food <<shrugs>>

I also prefer the taste of my home made sauce and of fresh mozzarella, as opposed to the "pizza cheese" that you get here. As for crust, nothing's as good as the stuff back home, so I'd rather have a baguette from Tartine as the base of my pizza than the stuff you get at the pizza shops here.
