I'm not a fan of football, I've just been idly following, along with a bet I made on Argentina.

I never EVER thought I would find myself Squealing at 5am and almost crying at the excitement of football. That second half was a top 5 most insane sporting moments in history, as far as my own witnessing goes.

TWO penalties in TWO minutes, one for each side. Paraguay missed, Spain scored - DISALLOWED. Spain shoot again, MISS. GOALIE FOULED but that was ignored.

Players instantaneously combust with rage and attack like fricking...something insane. 2 minutes later Spain scores, rebounding off THREE goal posts.

Argh, I've lost years of my life watching that.

Other top sporting moments consist of Usain Bolt beating the world record, Usain Bolt beating the world record AGAIN. The 11 hour 5 minute tennis match, the Nadal-Federer wimbledon, the Federer-Roddick wimbledon...
some boxing moments etc etc

Yea, that was an epic match. Spain have that feeling about them. They haven't been close to firing on all cylinders yet but they still have made it to the semis. They really need to make a change before the Germany game though. Torres up front is not working.

Where you watching a different game than me?? Spain's penalty was in the 62nd minute but Villa scored in the 83rd or 84th.

It was a gret 2nd half though. The football played was poor but the excitement was great. I almost went to bed at half time due to the poor first half.

Yeah I tend to exaggerate time when I'm all fired up. But yeah the first half was lame. They better buck their ideas up if they're to beat Germany, who are already on counter-attack fire.

Valdez's goal should not have been disallowed i think. He wasn't offside..

Looks like another poor refereeing decision to add to the list.

erm....Valdez, the goal scorer, certainly wasnt offside, but Cardozo was well offside....by taking a Spanish defender away from Valdez, he became active and affected how Spain could deal with Valdez.
