I've got all my documents ready to be shipped to Korea. I'm sending them from California to Seoul. I don't know whether to use FedEx, UPS, or DHL? Which did you people use? Thanks! |

At the point where I was ready to ship my documents to my recruiter, I used FedEx (from the midwest USA to Seoul).
I lived close to a Kinkos (5 minutes away) which also handled FedEx. I filled out the forms and handed them my credit card, but their system was down and they couldn't electronically process my order and payment and were not prepared to handle my needs non-electronically. They wrote down my credit card number and assured me my order would be sent later that day to the main FedEx office (in the same city) and then sent out, but I'd have to come in the next day to get the receipt.
My confidence in their service was quickly diminishing. I insisted on some sort of a receipt before leaving, and when they wouldn't provide one I got fed up, took my documents and form and went to the main FedEx office, instead (not connected to a Kinkos). There, they were able to take care of my needs with no problems.
Good thing, too, because the shipping price was substantially less, for some reason (something like $20 less)--over 60 bucks compared to 40 something. That was worth the initial frustration and then 15 minute drive.
i.e. they were going to have me pay a lot more just for the "convenience" of shipping from the nearby Kinkos. Not worth it. Shop around on the phone first. |

I've used both FedEx and DHL about four or five times each to send documents. DHL once sent my degree to Spain instead of Korea , so for me, FedEx has the edge. |

Hogwarts Express. If you can't afford their rates, I'd use FedEx. |

+1 for USPS. Just make sure you go for the "Priority Mail International" or better. And, if you print the postage online you get a bit of a discount.

My recruiter required me to send my documents via secure courier, so my only options were DHL or Fedex, and the lady at the shipping store said she felt DHL was the best international service. It took 48 hours for my documents to get from Tallahassee, FL to Seoul. I was pleased. |

Thanks for the info! I'm thinking FedEx will be the route I choose.
By the way, USPS Priority Mail International does not allow you to track the package internationally. The number you're given only tracks it while in the US, and lets you know when it's left the US. I know this, because I have sold items on Ebay and shipped them internationally.
Thanks again! |

Let us know how it all pans out please, eltotheoah is it?
DHL sure let me down. All envelopes arrived in Korea agape, including transcripts. They had felt the need to rip and tear everything open to comply with DHL standing orders.
With these bits of confetti in hand, the powers that be in Korea quite understanderbly felt no need to proceed.
Until my forthcoming boss spoke them around, with a little old wedge in his pocket to get things moving.
I wouldn't do DHL again even I owned the joint. |

I used FedEx to send off my documents from Los Angeles to Seoul and it took about 2 days with no problems. |

FedEx was the most expensive for me. I'd recommend USPS International Priority. Great value for money. |

I sent my documents via USPS Express Mail International. It cost ~$19 for the flat rate envelope and arrived in Gwangju (from Oklahoma) in 3 days. The price also includes a tracking number. |

For international documents, DHL is the best, faster and less expensive than Fedex or UPS. I always use DHL. |
