elltotheoh - I've just sent you an email. Let me know what you think!
I thought 26th was a Saturday, I meant 24th, sorry.
How about we meet in the late afternoon or early evening, go for a meal & drinks...and see where the night leads us! Or any other suggestions on what to do? |

I guess it's not the meeting, but the follow through. I'm not exactly a model...
The 24th would be good for me; my working Saturday has been changed so many times this month that I am free again. Are we planning for Itaewon or...? I think Hongdae is also a good foreigner haven but a little less... umm Itaewony. haha
I don't know. I'm just an attendee, not a planner. Please keep me up on details. <3 |

Yes I do EBM, 80s, Industrial, Alternative etc etc! How about you?
I'm not going to be able to make the 24th as I'm going to the mud fest! Have fun everyone and perhaps there will be another meet up like this in the near future - if someone could PM me about that I would be most grateful! |

I will not be going to the meetup cause I will be in Canada. |

I will most likely be at the mud fest that weekend as well. |

| If anyone still wants to meet in Seoul on the 24th, I am up for it. Anyone have any suggestions for a time and a place? |

OMG I bet that was absolutely amazing!! I think I might put going there on my wishlist for 2011, when I won't be tied up in a South Korean contract! Tbh I can't wait to go back home and dust of my corsets and start going to clubnights like those again - 4 years without in Korea is doable - but it's certainly a hobby I miss very much! Have fun in Canada! |

I'll be arriving at the end of this month (around 28th-29th) in Cheonan if anyone would be interested in girly spa things and showing me the ropes to Seoul.
My interests: reading (I'm in a book club here at home), computers/technology, some video games, singing and dancing, cooking... you know. There's more but I'm not looking to make this a personal ad. haha
Anyways, anyone interested in meeting up in early August, let me know. I'd love to go to Busan while it's still warm, too. |

| Busan's always pretty warm. I went in January and was able to walk around without a coat for some of the time, and had it open the rest. |

I'm the sort of person that pretty much just likes comics, B movies, zombies, dirty jokes, and pop culture. Even though I've been here a long time, I don't know the city/Seoul well enough to plan things and I don't like being a planner anyway. I'm really more of a follower than a leader.
I'd like to meet a nice group of girls, but I always find it hard to know what to talk about. Then I end up insulting their interests awkwardly.
Oy! What a person am I. |
We should really hang out some time I also like zombies (have the zombie survival guide and everything ), write comedy plays and novels, and love B movies from the 50s, and MST3K, and good movies too lol. Anyways, I'm a funny, shameless dork and I'd probably like you a lot What part of Seoul are you in? |

Another closet goth here. I've made my own corsets before. I was a regular at the goth club at home, but have yet to find a goth club here. I also had pink hair that I had to dye over before coming here, and I STILL wish two weeks into this that I'd been allowed to keep the pink hair XD Oh well, at least we have crazy hair day at work this month...
Anyways, I'm also into darkwave, 80s, new wave, alternative, indie, and since I've gotten here, k-pop. I'm also REALLY into dancing. Like take me to a goth club and I won't even be bothered with the alcohol and hooking up for the most part, just the dancing.
So yeah, I really need freaks to hang out with. My attempts at TRYING to look normal to impress people at work haven't worked. Something always slips out. For example, "what's with the way you colored these flash cards?" "Oh, I only had 5 colors from the time I drew on my walls-- NOT my walls here, it was in America so it was OK... damn, now everyone knows I'm a closet graffiti artist too!"
Or the best one... two girls at work were talking about the G20 protests and I was like "oh, I know some squatters who were involved in the last ones..." turns out they were both conservatives O_O
The good news is that the kids can appreciate all my non-sequiturs and surrealism, whether they actually get it or not. And they're too young to understand what goths, anarchists, and nerds are :3
Anyways, I need some weird friends. So far I've only made one close friend, a few acquaintances, and have a clingy guy who won't leave me alone >_> I know it's only been two weeks, but I need more friends anyways! |

Xanthe, I'm in Bucheon, a satellite city of Seoul.
I've gone to Hongdae AND Apgujeong all by myself before, though. haha
I'm only going to be in town a few more weeks. <.brag>I'm moving to Jeju. <./end brag> |
