|
|
There are already several threads on these but they're a bit outdated.
Can anybody recommend a specific goshiwon or hasook in the Hongdae/Shinchon/Idae area?
I could care less about size, just interested in cleanliness/friendliness and privacy etc. Also, do these sorts of places provide clean linens or are you expected to provide your own? And any maximum stay limits or do they not care so long as you pay your tab?
Thanks. |

I lived in two ÿs and toured quite a few.
My suggesting would be to find the location most convienient to you. Then check out it one. There are so many ÿs that you can be picky about your local.
Things you should look for:
1. Is it aboved a 뷡? If so, you'll hear drunken screaming till 4 AM. In both the and ȫ areas, since they are both party centrals, noise is a big concern.
2. It's getting near summer. How is the air-conditiong? Do they use fans?
3. how do you dry your clothes? My current ÿ has a drier. Super nice.
you are expected to have your own linen and they don't care how long you stay. |

I don't know what a "hasook" is, but I stayed at the MAX Living Tel across for Yonsei Univ. before, and it was OK at 10,000/ night. The area is not so quiet but if you want to be in that area.... |

Where is your goshiwon? Having a drier in Korea almost makes me want to move there now. |

Ah, I see you had an all right time there (jajdude)...that's the only one I know and I still recommend it. I stayed in one for two months here in Sanbon and it was wretched in comparison. |

That's quite expensive. Mine cost 240,000 a month but it is in a central loacation so it costs about 40,000 more than a similar ÿ further away.
If you want a super clean and super modern ÿ, the one in my area will cost 280,000. |

What is the difference between a goshiwon and a hasuk?
Hasuk's serve meals right? |

Yeah, for a little bit extra you get two meals a day. Essentially the same principle as a goshiwon as far as I understand it. |
