That ended up working out well. He didn't put any RAM in because it has 1GB on board (as Jack Daniels said) as well as an extension from the seller, which equals 2GB (for the slightly slow ie. me).
So it was 130K for a 500GB HDD, W7 Ultimate K (I'm guessing the 'K' identifies it as a Korea only OEM with no ENG language pack, but I will look into it) and a case for my old HDD. He also fixed the broken hinge and cleaned it.
It probably cost more than doing it myself, but the difference in cost would have been negated by the extreme amount of faffing about it takes to do something like that (at least the first time).
On a side note, anyone know how to change W7 over to ENG? I can live with Kor Windows, but it would still be nice to have it in the vernacular. |

Sweet. Changing over was easy. Just needed another W7 PC, with Eng, in front of me to guide me through.
All in all, a pretty good use of a 10 Sejeongs. |
