Don't watch much TV, but there's a certain commercial that I hate. I think it's a shampoo commercial but I forget.
It has a father and son taking a bath together, the son is maybe 4 or 5, and the kid farts and makes a bubble in the water and then stands up and we see his naked ass.
There is a lot of 'cute' poop and fart stuff in ads. I hate it. |

The one with the guy sticking two fingers up his nostrils. Why would anyone think that looks cool?
but whats worse is the amount of time devoted to commercials- ie only about half an hour for every break. When they come on i just change channel because i know that by the time they end I'll have completely forgotten what i was watching anyway.
Over-commercialised society. |

All the finance company ads are annoying as hell.
I like anything with Kim Yu-Na in it.
Sexy utility vehicle is just weird, that car isn't going to get you laid. |

The message seems to be: "buy the suv, then U can get the pouting princess ".
Stop press:
The "nextour-find paradise" ad just featured a K-woman getting with a foreign guy on an exotic beach. Wonder how that passed the censors? |

| Back when I first came here in '06 there was a lemonade commercial that was on EVERY minute or so. I think it was a couple of dudes from Super Junior singing. "Re-re-re-mo-ne-deuh" |

Favourite: perve factor for the ladies: the powerade commercial with the guy jumping over the buildings. I have impure thoughts over him!
Least favourite: Anything where they sing phone numbers in high annoying sing song voices. |

Here's what I think happens: The cameraman asks the grandmother how she makes her gochujang and he suggests she put wheat flour in the gochujang instead of rice flour and she gets pissed off and tells him to go away. |
I'm also curious to know what he says that apparently annoys her.
Can anyone help? |

| Generally speaking, I've noticed that Korean commercials are not just idealistic depictions of the "normal" lifestyle (the same is true in American commercials), but some are completely divorced from reality. It's not uncommon to see an advertisement with a beautiful and happy family in a huge (three-story), brick, Western suburban house with a two-car garage and an enormous yard. These houses are everywhere in the US, but I've never seen one in Korea yet, and I've traveled a good bit around. Most well-off folk here live in nice apartments. There's nothing wrong with the Western-style houses here, but compared to the upper-class homes in the US they're squat, square, and small. |

I love the drink, but, yeah, these commercials used to drive me crazy. I think that there's one that's been on for the last year that goes, "Oley!" Mainly, because my students say it on a daily basis. |

I don't catch too many these days. The one that always got me was the one with the radish in the haunted house where someone swipes a card in his rear. It was such a WTF moment when I first saw it.
The ramen ad with the Bubble Bobble song is fun too. |
