I was thinking of taking in the Shanghai World Expo this/next month (I've got a month of vacay this summer) but I think Shanghai is unbearably hot in the summer, is that true? Anyone been to the World Expo already and can provide a review? |

I cannot comment on the completed World Expo, but I spent June to September 2008 in China, about a month of which (August) was spent in Shanghai. The heat could be brutal at times. A really cool city though. The parts of the World Expo I saw made me want to go back. |

Look in the travel section about visas. I live in Shanghai and so far so good as far as not being too hot . I hear we have a few hot days coming and the humidity can be bad. Nothing like a 40 plus summer day in Australia so far though. Shanghai is fun if you like to party. |
