Hi everyone,

anyways, im taking a weeks vacation to the Philipinnes, and I was looking at my E-2 Korean visa in my passport. It says "S" under "Entries". I imagine that means single?

is this going to be a problem? what am I supposed to do? unfortunately, I didnt know about this till just now, and I am set to leave tomorrow night.

thanks for your help!

Yes it's single entry entry and yes it's a problem.

If you're leaving from Incheon - go at least an hour earlier than normal, and go to the immigration office on the ground floor - opposite the entrance. Past checkout counter F or so. There for 30,000 KRW you can purchase a single usage re-entry permit. You can keep repurchasing these every time you travel.

I don't know what's offered at airports aside from Incheon though.

Later (or today, if you can still make it - it's under 60 minutes processing time), you could go to your office of immigration and purchase a 1-year unlimited re-entry permit. It's something like 50,000 KRW. Or go there and purchase a 30,000 KRW single re-entry, if you just really love your local office and somehow prefer going there to the office at Incheon.

Sounds like the airport is your best bet. Be sure and get there really early. I managed to get it done in about 20 minutes there, but I've heard it can take a while.

Good luck...

the airport immigration office (for your re-entry stamp) is open to the public from 6am - 10pm (06:00-22:00) every day (go before 9:30pm if you need a stamp).

There are 2 entrances:

1) one in the small hallway found along the back wall of the departures level behind check-in counter "F".

2) one in the small hallway found along the back wall of the departures level behind check-in counter "H".

They are BEFORE you go through security.

30k won, your passport, your ARC and an application form (found on the counter) are needed for the re-entry stamp.

Or... you can go to your local immigration office and get it sorted there. It will give you a multiple re-entry visa for a year. It is free if you are from the UK and 50,000 Won if your from other places. The airport one is for a single re-entry, so can get expensive if you are planning to travel several times a year. The multiple re-entry permit from immigration takes about 10 minutes to sort.
