|
|
Are there any websites that allow you to send free SMS messages to Korean numbers?
For example, my phone company (and plenty of others) in Canada and the US let you send anonymous SMS messages on their websites to any of their subscribers. You can say who you are in the content of the message but obviously they wouldn't be able to reply back to your number.
Anything comparable in Korea? |

I think Naver offers a SMS service somewhere. Alternatively you could use Skype to send an SMS, but obviously it'll cost. |

Skype costs too much? It's like 10 cents a message. What would be a reasonable price??? 8 cents? |

A reasonable price would be free, which is what I pay in Canada to send texts to people's phones via their telecom company websites. As I wrote in the original post. |

Free is not a reasonable "price".....you'd like to be able to do it for free, sure....but free is not a reasonable price. |

You just framed the question that way so I responded to you sarcastically since it would be clear to any half-functioning dimwit who read the OP that I was looking for something that is free and comparable to what I described exists in the US and Canada. I guess that went way over your head?
But anyway, thanks for coming into the thread and offering no advice. "Is there a service like X out there?" You: "Hey I'm going to criticize something irrelevant because I have no useful answer to the question. It is unfathomable to me that anyone would want to SMS someone for free. I thought people liked paying for it." |

Considering dozens of companies do it for free, yes it's reasonable.
Rogers does it for free in Canada and you can even get replies on their website.
You can do it sort of "free" through nate if your phone package includes some messages. I'm not sure exactly how you get that worked into your plan. Some of my korean friends get X amount of messages for free per month through nateon. You might ask a korean if they use it and how to set it up. |
