There's too many games to review here and now....

Best idea is to search youtube for 'android games' and you'll get lots of videos like '10 best android games'.......install the ones you like the look of.

I'm thinking that Galaxy S2 in Spanky's link is a fake.......2ghz processor! I don't think that spec could be possible by 2011.

Did someone earlier say they couldn't take photos with the little front-facing camera? I got that going too if you still need to know how.

Hey guys got my Galaxy a week ago.

Does anyone know how I can download games apps? The market blocked the games section.. sucks like hell

As said before on this thread, if you want all the Android games you can handle, then download the 'Android final pack' from Demonoid.....it's 1.55GB of games and apps.......90% of them seem to working on the Galaxy S.

I finally got my GPS going. I enabled 'use GPS satellites' and 'use assisted GPS'........both found in the 'Location and Security' page of 'Settings'.

After I did that and launched Korean Layar it all started happening. Lots of fun......if maybe not as useful as I imagined.

I'm guessing the GPS will kick in now in the other apps like T-Map etc.

I turned those two on and the GPS still doesn't work.

EDIT: When I turned on "Use wireless networks" it seemed to work. However when I load that t map program, it still sticks me downtown!

Also some of the English on this is inexcusable, i mean come on. They're an international company, get your translation from your American division! Christ. There is no reason why I should be getting notifications like "Message is arrived"

That totally depends on the quality of the files (is your movie a 700MB avi dvdrip or a 6GB 720p x264?) and if you have an 8/16/32 GB microSD card.

When Froyo (Android 2.2) is released this Summer it will be possible to use 32GB microSD cards on top of the 16GB internal memory. So 48 GB total.

I usually watch DVD rips or TV shows that are between 350mb to 700mb. Bog standard stuff downloaded from torrent sites. How many hours of that?

Well, it's 48GB!

48GB divided by 700MB is about 68......so that's 68 700MB movies which could potentially be stored.......if you get a 32GB MicroSD card of course.

Ah.. I see....No idea.....I know I'm not disappointed with battery life in normal use.

I have browsed the net and youtubed an awful lot on mine on a couple of days.....like 3-4 hours in one day....that made a dent but it still had half a charge at the end of the day.....

You'll have to wait until some net reviewer with a lot of time actually does a battery run-down test to get real figures.

Got me a Galaxy S yesterday. Still fiddling about trying to figure it out. One thing I can't figure out is how much data I've used. I have 500mb a month, but I'm not sure what that means. Does that include browsing the web, or does it refer to how much I can download? I want to check to make sure I haven't exceeded the monthly limit.

There are a million apps for this purpose. I use 3G Watchdog. You use your data cap surfing the net and downloading when you have the 3G radio on. WIFI doesn't use any of your data cap.

I heard some horror stories of people getting 1,000,000 won bills for doing a lot of downloading on their smartphone.......but I have to presume those people were idiots who were downloading lots of video and music using their 3G connection.

I seem to be almost always in range of an open wi-fi spot......so I rarely need to actually use my 3G for internet use.....and even if I did I'd make sure it was a quick 5 minutes to check a couple of websites.

I'm anticipating never needing to go over my 500MB free allowance of 3G use.....but just to be sure I've installed 3G Watchdog as per Seniors tip. Good one.

I wouldn't worry too much about going over your allowance. I have an iPhone and I haven't come anywhere near hitting my limit (500MB). In the 4 1/2 months of having it I have used a total of 1.3GB and I go online pretty much every day while on my 40 min bus/subway journey and download loads of apps. As long as you don't stream music or videos over 3G then you really shouldn't have a problem.

Yep, good tip there with the 3d Watchdog app. I'm looking for a Skype app for the Galaxy S. Is there one available yet?
