I'm considering a trip to the Philippines for a week, and I'm just wondering how expensive it is? I don't have expensive tastes, budget hotels and cheap food are fine. I'd be going for the week of Christmas and New Year's so I'm sure that the hotels/flight will be pricey, and if the day-to-day costs are very much it may get out of my price range. Anyone taken a budget trip to Manila or one of the islands lately?

Peak time as a tourist you should plan on a budget of US$100 per day all in for your stay and activities (plus airfare).

You can probably squeeze by with less (travel and live like a back packer on $25 per day)

BUT

it is easy to bring the extra cash home if you don't need/spend it and it sucks to be short of cash on holiday.

Thanks! $100 per day including hotels would probably be doable.

When I go on holiday I usually budget a million won per week no matter where it is.
