Can I find shoes in a size 8 woman in Seoul? I was told by two females at my Orientation that I will not be able to find shoes in my size, but I was told by others it would not be a problem.

Where is the best place to go shoe shopping?

Size 8 isn't bad. It's any bigger and you would have problems. That is on the high end of Korean shoe sizes though. I think size 250 or 255...I'm not sure which. Next time your at a store, check out those sizes and see if they fit. If not, Itaewon should have them. Seoul would be the best place to find larger shoes. They are just a little harder to find.

to me the best place is myeong dong. and there its the european chain clothing stores.
size 8 is about size 40 in european size, i think.

you should check out zara and h&m for shoes. they carry up until size 41. i usually go there to get my shoes....

Back home I would wear a size 7.5-8 depending on style. Here I generally wear 240. I think I may have gotten some heels in 245 once, though.
Most shops (even the underground) carry 250. I've seen some styles in 255 in regular dept. stores or Home Plus maybe but they were very ugly.

Start with the 240s and just try on, try on, try on.

Even large show sizes for guys is a trouble. Does anyone know where I could find shoes for size 12+ and no to Itaewon.

99.99% of the time your only choices for mens over 12 are Itaewon and online. Sometimes the bigger name places will have large sizes (Converse, Nike, Adidas, Reebok.) My local Asics had some size 14s the other day, a freak occurrence at best.

In myeongdong some stores (kumgang for example) have a floor with only "larger" sizes.
