I'm confused...so you have an apartment, but during that contract you are going to leave and come back, right?
Your landlord has no say over whether you are in the country or not - they still have to pay back your deposit. If you run into problems, talk to the realtor to solve the issue. |

I think what conbon is saying is he is in between contracts and has an expiration date on his ARC Card so he has to go back out of the country and come back.
OP, I think you simply advice the landlord that you will be gone a few days and are taking a trip. You don't even necessarily have to do that. There is an office which you should go to where you can register your deposit and when it is suppose to be paid back to you. It costs like 600 won or something like that, but you get paperwork saying when your deposit is due back to you. I like my landlord, but still did it because of the large amount of money involved. Maybe he real estate agent can tell you where that is.
In terms of dealing with problems, I think you need to find someone who is Korean to act as a buffer if you start having difficulties or need things fixed. |
