| Hello, I was curious as to if you can specify where you would like to to be placed through EPIK, or do you submit your application and your placement could be anywhere? Any help would be great. |

| You can list your preferences for cities/provinces, and if you don't get what you want you can pull out. You can not choose where you'll be going, or the grade level, within that province/city. During the interview if you don't sound flexible (they will ask this) they will most likely not accept you. |

They will try to place you in order of your 5 preferences, but if you don't apply early enough then they will place you wherever. Fact is, they tend to recommend people in order of who applied first. First come, first serve. So if all of your areas fill up with other people, they would not be giving you a spot there.
THe earlier you apply, the more likely you are to get what you want. Hint: If you're looking to get in for the next March deployment, the application process starts in October. Keep a look out and apply right when it opens. Hint 2: Start preparing your visa docs in September so it is ready for them, ask a recruiter what you need. |

| Thank you so much for the help. I was curious as to what you mean by prepare the E-2 Visa prior to. I was under the impression that EPIK would do that for you according to their timeline on their website. Any help would be great! Thank you! |

What I meant was get your documents ready. You send your documents to Korea after you interview with EPIK and they accept you. Then they prepare your visa. But your spot isn't "locked in" with EPIK until you send in your documents, so the earlier you send in your documents, the better likelihood you have of going where you want.
Apostilled copy of degree.
Sealed Transcripts (1 for EPIK, 1 for Consulate)
2 Letters of Recommendation with proper formatting (See EPIK website for template)
etc.
You might want to wait a bit for this background check issue to clear up. If you're from the states, maybe you need the FBI one and the State checks for any state you lived in for 6 months or greater. For me, I had to get two state checks done. You only need to apostille the state check for which you are currently living in. |

| Thank you for the help. Since I graduate in the Fall, I will not have a copy of my diploma until early January. Do you think this is too late? I will submit my application in October though. I guess the other option is to just wait until the September placement, but I want to leave ASAP. |

| When the time comes, you can send in an intent to graduate letter. Ask your recruiter about it when you get one, they will tell you what to do. |
