Hello,

I will be returning to Korea soon after a year absence. I taught before on an E2 visa for 3 years. The first time I applied for a visa 4 years ago it was before the visa requirements changed. At the time I did it in Thailand. It would seem now that I am required, at least once, to do it from my home country under the new guidelines. But I need to come early since I am almost out of money. I took a job for a summer camp, in addition to the job I have lined up for September at a public school.

I am assuming then that I must apply for a C4 and then go out of the country and do my E2 in Japan.

Does that sound right?
