I ask if anyone on this board has relocated to Canada with a Korean spouse.
My wife has come to the conclusion that we need to stop in either Vancouver or Toronto upon arriving in Canada, so she can get some necessary documents to transfer her driver's licence.
I come from a city that doesn't have a Korean consulate, so it'd be more expensive for me to stop in Toronto or Vancouver.. I'd rather avoid if possible.
For anyone who has relocated, how did your wife/husband get his/her licence? |

Which city/province are you from?
As per the usual I could only find info on specific provinces and of course Ontario is one BC and Alberta are the others (I was surprised I couldn't find info for Quebec) Anyways in AB, BC, and ON you should be able to simply exchange her SK licence for a provincal one. One might assume that you should also be able to do this in any other province, but who knows. Probably your best bet would be to ask someone you know back home to head down to the local registry centre and inquire for you. |
