Berlin, 1939.

You mean the Berlin where the Aryans and the Jews both wore gold stars?

Didn't you read what was posted? Both Korean teachers AND NETs have to wear name tags/ID badges.

And I'm guessing that there wasn't a "Let's find Fox as fast as possible and slap this name tag on him" moment at work. In my case it was the typical "school not telling me anything" moment. But hey, they all think we're public enemy #1 right?

Who do you really think this school is watching us (with ou lazy desk time) or burberry man outside the playground. If they thought we were perverts I'm sure we'd be a lot more supervised than we are.

Or do people on this board wish to claim that a good chunk of their day isn't spent on Dave's/Facebook/Bejewled?

But oh yes the typical "They smear us and all think we're all perverts" sludge keeps on getting dragged out.

I was wondering why my coteacher gave me a nametag, as I've been here for a while. Some of the Korean teachers wear them, but not all. I thanked her when she gave it to me then asked if she had a different color Laughing

I haven't worn it, though. Everyone knows who I am.

So today at work all the Korean teachers are wearing name tags. I just found out that its to identify them to the parents so that the parents know they aren't sexual predators.

Of course I was left out of the loop because "everyone knows who I am so it won't be a problem." Funny I don't hear any of my colleagues wailing about how unfair it is that they have to wear name tags and I don't.

Yeah its really drilled into their heads that us NETs are out to get their kids and foreigners are perverts. Rolling Eyes

See? They only gave the nametags to the non-perverts. Exclamation

latest we've been told is that all NET's with labelling tags have to board a special train to go and work at a wonderful summer camp somewhere. Sounds fun!

Nautilus,

I heard about this "summer camp" as well.

Also, the waeguk bongo truck fleet has been expanded to 10 vehicles.

These bongo trucks will roam Korea under the clever disguise of selling bananas or other produce. Then, at the opportune time they will strike out and nab a waeguk or two, toss him or her in the bin and drive him off to another special camp...so watch out, the waeguk bongo truck may be coming for you...

They make a lot of anti-semitic posts.
They leap to defend paedos and incest.

If this post was on Facebook, I would "like" it.

BaCasper, you seem to be strongly against submitting background checks as part of the hiring process . Are you also against teachers having to submit resumes that describe their work experience?

Yeah, I misspoke about them working in ANY profession.

I did not misspeak about drug tests or HIV tests. You misread what I said about drug tests. You apparently have no idea how one contracts HIV (psst it ain't airborne!) Additionally, you some how drew the bizarre conclusion that supporting a drug test prior to employment means that I think being intoxicated while working with children is ok.

This thread is not about me and my beliefs. That would be as inappropriate as me asking nautilus on this thread if he has stopped beating his kids.

Well, you are quite vocal about testing for drugs but silent about the same for alcohol. Not bizarre at all.
