Looking at peoples thoughts on here and general reviews on the internet - this place looks really interesting.

My question refers to accommodation - any suggestions ? - i have found a home stay option - anyone have any experience of this ?

there are tons of motels in and around by the inter city bus terminal. They looked all right. If you want more upscale there are some gorgeous hotels over by Bomun Lake Resort. I find that a bit away from the historical wonderland that is the Silla Tombs and the National Museum though. It is a gorgeous city in my opinion though and one of my favourite spots in Korea.

I stayed at Hanjin Hostel in downtown Gyeongju. It's really close to the bus station and pretty cheap. The owner can give you some pointers about town. I absolutely love that city, it's so beautiful and full of history. Enjoy!
