|
|
Okay, long story short...
Tonight I was busy scrounging around in one of the spare rooms in my apartment, when I found a Rage - Perfect Man album (Noise Records) under the bed. (I also found a cassette copy of Tiamat's "Astral Sleep" - which is a good album, although nowadays Tiamat have taken to a goth sound, which absolutley disgusts me, but I still have some respect for tha band thanks to "Astral Sleep" and "Clouds". I'll even give "Wildhoney" a listen to if there's nothing else.)
Anyway, the Rage LP must have been bought in Korea. Who would bring a Rage LP with them to Korea when:
A - Rage suck
B - If you're going to bring a German thrash album that was released by Noise Records, then that album had better be Kreator's "Pleasure To Kill" (as far as I'm concerned, one of the best metal albums ever released). Rage are mediocre at best, nowhere near as good as early Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, Tankard etc.
C - Why would a person travel with vinyl?
So if anybody knows of a place in Korea that stocks vinyl, especially metal albums, well then I'll wet my pants.
Although I doubt that such a store exists in Korea, the discovery of the Rage album has given new meaning to my life, and hope, lots of hope. I guess I just didn't realise how hopeless my life was until now. Please excuse me while I remove my person to my bathroom so I don't stain my keyboard with tears... |

Actually, I think there was a place in my old neighborhood in Cheonan. I never went in there, but I remember seeing vinyl. |

Hongdae, there's a shop that sells magazines on the street that forms a "T" with the McDonalds near the university gates, turn left down there until you seee a load of magazines on the pavement, that shop has vinyl on the left hand side. |

Okay, but could you be more specific as to the location? |

You'd never find it without me around; it's pretty obscure. If you must know, you take the 104 bus from downtown, get off at the stop right before the underground passageway stop(it's the one right after the stop at a light that has a big school on the left and Baskin Robbins on the right), turn left as you step off the bus, then turn right at the first little street. It's on the right side, across from some car shop. |

I'm not sure what I was on, but I apparently wrote: |

Okay, I just listened to 'Astral...' now, and you'd be mad to like this sleep-inducing, garbage-riffed crap. It's been years since I last listened to this.
I'd also like to apologise to all of you people who took my advice to heart and purchased this terrible album. Just this once, I am sorry. |
